Jim Brichacek has broken hip - May 11th, 2002 by Eileen Zirbel
Jim is in Kenosha Hospital recovering from surgery Thursday to repair a broken hip sustained when he tripped and fell over a piece of cardboard outside a patient's home. He had been visiting a patient Wednesday afternoon when the accident happened. The doctor said it was a "clean break". There are only 3 pins holding it together. Jim has already had physical therapy, and may home as early as today (5-11-02). Nancy said they have a wheelchair, crutches, and walker ready for him. Workmans comp has taken effect because the accident happened while he was working.
